transformer DIA Commander Review

This is an add-on for your Classics Optimus Prime, or Henkei Convoy. It's made by FansProject, which is a Chinese-based 3rd party add-on creator. They're not affiliated with Hasbro or Takara/Tomy in any way. However, that's not to say this doesn't have the feel of an authentic official toy. FansProject is a company for fans, by fans. They know what we want, cause they want it too, but have the means of semi-mass producing these custom pieces to enhance already existing toys. This add-on is worthless without an Optimus Prime mold (you can use one of the others, such as Shattered Glass Prime, Ultra Magnus, Nemesis Prime, etc).
It comes with a comic book that also doubles at the instruction manual. The cool thing about the DIA Commander is that it has chrome in some places, so it really goes well with Henkei Convoy. When I got mine, I actually ordered one from China just so it would match the armor a little better. The American release works just as well.
Of course, I'd be lying to you if I said this was a must-have toy. It really isn't. However, the "City Commander" upgrade IS. It makes your Ultra Magnus look like ULTRA MAGNUS, and not just a white version of Optimus Prime (which he technically is...). The DIA Commander is the same mold as the City Commander, but painted red, black, and blue to match Prime's colors.
